Animal Looks
Notice how you can collect those cute little animals throughout levels in the game? Well, they're actually used for something. If you collect animals in game, and then go into Chao garden, they will appear and you'll be able to give them to your Chao. Giving the animals to your Chao will give the chao animal parts on his/her body.
For example: If I found a bunny in game, and then gave it to one of my Chao, it would either grow bunny ears, bunny arms, or bunny feet.
Animal Stats
Animals aren't just used to make your Chao look different. They're also used for raising certain stats. Each animal gives a different stat bonus to the Chao that it was giving to.
Magical (Mostly Flying, and Running): Dragon, Pheonix, Unicorn
Swim Stats: Penguin, Seal, and Otter
Flying Stats: Parrot, Condor, Peacock
Power Stats: Gorilla, Bear, Tiger
Mixed Stats: Skunk, Racoon, Sheep, Bat, Skeleton Dog, Half Fish
Running Stats: Bunny, Cheetah, Warthog
Animal Actions
Each animal will make your Chao do something, weather it's run around, or jump up and down.

Parrot - Sings

Condor - Flaps around like a bird

Skunk - Farts

Sheep - Chao will do summersaults

Racoon - Spins around

Bat - Makes your Chao's legs dissapear

Skeleton Dog - Lets your Chao wear a hat. Also takes away animal parts that are already on your Chao

Half Fish - Makes Chao's ball, halo, or spike ball turn into a flame

Gorilla - Chao will beat his/her chest like tarzan

Bear - Chao will roar like a bear

Tiger - Chao will sharpen his/her claws

Dragon - Chao will breath fire

Pheonix - Chao will wag his/her tail around

Unicorn - The Chao will Kick around with it's feet like a horse

Bunny - Chao Bounces up and down on his/her feet

Warthog - Chao will run like Sonic (not in Chao race, just while in the garden)
